What is your National Insurance number?
(If you are under 16 you can ignore this question as you will not have received it yet!)
If you do not know your National Insurance number have a look on some of these documents and it should be written on them:
An end of year statement of tax and NI paid (P60)
Payslip, recent or old
Official correspondence
Annual tax return
Employer's wage records
If you still do not know your National Insurance number contact a local DWP or Inland Revenue office for help
How much will you have to pay in National Insurance?
If you are already in work, have a look at your wages slip and this will tell you.

If you are not in work you can have a go at working out your contributions using these examples. Remember, you do not pay any National Insurance on the first £110 per week, and then 11% on the next £734 and 1% of all earnings above £844. (These figures will change from time to time).
